Resources for Issues Associated With Entry to the U.S.

Have you experienced difficulty during screening while entering into the U.S.? The Department of Homeland Security Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (DHS TRIP) is a resource for individuals to report their inquiries or seek resolution.

Some issues they can help to address include:

  • watch list issues
  • screening problems at ports of entry
  • situations where travelers believe they have been unfairly or incorrectly delayed, denied boarding or identified for additional screening at our nation’s transportation hub

According to DHS TRIP, you should consider using this resource if you have been denied or delayed airline boarding, denied or delayed entry into or exit from the U.S. at a port of entry or border crossing or have been repeatedly referred to additional (secondary screening)

Once you submit your redress request DHS TRIP will route your issue to the appropriate office for review and adjudication. You will be assigned a record identifier to look up the status as it is being processed and solved.
