This practical, hands-on presentation will prepare you to seek health care when you need it – without paying more than you should.
Come hear representatives from International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), Academic Health Plans (AHP), and University Health Services (UHS).
Topics include:
• Introduction to the U.S. Healthcare System
• Seeking Care in the U.S. (e.g. Where to go, what to expect)
• Understanding Insurance (e.g. Terminology, filing claims, defining coverage)
• The UT Student Health Insurance Plan coverage through AHP and BlueCross/BlueShield
We will also allow time for you to ask questions about any of these topics.
