The International Office is excited to announce a new Foundation Year partnership with the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. The KAUST Gifted Student Program Foundation Year will bring a group of academically advanced Saudi students to UT Austin to engage in ESL, math, science, SAT prep and study skills courses. This program is aimed at preparing these exceptional students for success in American undergraduate programs. Following their Foundation Year at UT Austin and four years at a university in the United States, the students will return to Saudi Arabia to pursue graduate degrees in the STEM fields at KAUST.
International Student and Scholar Services welcomes Corissa Wandmacher, KAUST Foundation Year Coordinator and Gregory Worthington, KAUST Foundation Year Graduate Assistant. These two new staff members will work to support the KAUST students academically and personally during their time at UT Austin and will report to Liz Smith, Assistant Director for Sponsored Student Services
