International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) announces an exciting lineup for Day 2 of the Creating Access to Global Education (CAGE) 2013 symposium series on October 11. We invite YOU to consider joining us for an interactive day of dialogue exploring the history of undocumented students’ experiences and participation in higher education.
Dr. Ryan Evely Gildersleeve will join us from Denver University as the keynote speaker for this event. Dr. Gildersleeve serves as a current DU Associate Professor in the Higher Education program and is a fellow of the National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation. He previously served as Director for the Center for K-16 Education Policy and Research at UT Arlington. Together with speakers from the UT Law School, Admissions Office, Office of Student Financial Services, and the undocumented student body, Dr. Gildersleeve will explore the ways in which student affairs professional can begin to understand the unique needs of undocumented students and their own roles as advocates.
