We invite you to attend “Medical Insurance in the U.S.” this Wednesday, January 15 in Avaya Auditorium (POB 2.302) from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
This interactive presentation will prepare you to seek appropriate, cost-effective healthcare in the United States. Presenters include representatives from International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), Academic Health Plans (AHP), and University Health Services (UHS).
Topics include:
• Introduction to the U.S. healthcare system
• When and where to go for medical care
• Understanding insurance (e.g. terminology, filing claims, defining coverage)
• The UT Student Health Insurance Plan coverage through AHP and BlueCross/BlueShield
We will also allow time for you to ask questions about any of these topics.
