Did you know that you can invite family and friends to visit you during your time at UT Austin? Documentation from the ISSS is not necessary to invite your guests; however, you will need to send some documentation to your invitee.
Recommendations:
- Write an invitation letter, in English and in your native language, including:
- Purpose of visit
- Length of stay
- How visitor(s) will financially support themselves
- Send photocopies of your immigration documents: I-20 or DS-2019, passport, visa, and I-94.
- If visitor(s) are coming for your graduation, send them an invitation card or print out for your University Commencement.
