Mental Health Promotion Week 2016 is a campus-wide event focused on promoting elements of positive emotional well-being. Programs throughout the week emphasize the benefits of exploring social connections, mindfulness, self-care, gratitude, resilience, creativity and play. Wednesday’s event will even feature a particular focus on culture and mental health:
Diversity & Mental Health Panel Discussion
2-4pm, SSB 1.310
The panel will talk about the intersection of mental health, identity and culture. There will be FREE FOOD (first come, first serve).
Check out the full schedule of events on the Mental Health Promotion Week 2016 facebook page.
We also know that this has been a very difficult time for our campus and community. Note that the Counseling and Mental Health Center is continuing to hold extended hours until 7 p.m. this week. Support groups are also available from 5-6 p.m. each day this week, with no appointment necessary.
