Are you an F-1 student who will graduate in Fall 2016? Are you wanting to work in the U.S. after graduation? If you answered yes, then you want to apply for Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT is a work authorization for F-1 students that allow you to work in your field of study.
You must attend an OPT workshop (presented at the International Office) before you can apply for Post-Completion OPT. Additionally, you can apply as early as 90 days prior to the official graduation date of the semester. Applying early for OPT can mean receiving your work permit in time to begin work after graduation.
If this is something that you are interested in, we encourage your to apply. Sign-up for an OPT workshop.
*Note – OPT used during your studies (ex: OPT for a Spring or Summer internship) is called Pre-Completion OPT. Attendance for an OPT workshop is not required*
