Are we confused how to spend tonight?
If only they named the joyous day.
For all the things there are to save,
We spend thriftily on things to say.
On a Friday black, the devil deals.
And on a merry note, the world banks.
But the elect shuns the weaks gone past,
Who really deserves a vote of thanks ?
Given things at bay, does discounts?
Is it gratitude that AmericanExpress?
For we give credit where it amounts,
But who Targets for our happiness ?
And in the spirit- a wine and dine,
I wonder how many smiles we carve.
For it only ads to browse suspicion,
We have doors to bust, if only to starve.
And while we’re purchasing the moment,
I wonder why my cards are few.
Of all the carts, is it a bigger deal
to say a simple thankyou?
