Exchange Student Volunteer Service Project

New exchange students are already getting involved at UT and in the community. This fall we have over 400 new exchange students attending UT from our partner universities around the world. Exchange students study at UT for 1 or 2 semesters before returning to their home universities.

Last week exchange students volunteered to help distribute food to the homeless and hungry at Micah 6 Food Pantry. Exchange students also volunteered on campus at the Study Abroad Fair, promoting exchange programs by sharing information with other UT students about their home countries and home universities.

Exchange students also met up for the first monthly coffee hour. The Exchange Student Coffee Hours are a great way for exchange students to meet up and compare experiences during their stay at UT. The International Office will host a few more Exchange Student Coffee hours on October 18, November 15 and December 13.  All exchange students are welcome to attend and coffee is provided by the International Office.
