Summer is coming soon, so it’s time to start preparing for any international travel plans that you have during the summer break. If you are an international student who is traveling outside the U.S. during the summer, make sure to have a valid travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 from the last 12 months in order to return to the U.S. If you need a new signature on your immigration document, take advantage of our TRAVEL SIGNATURE DRIVE.
If you cannot come to FAC 330 on April 27, 2018 between 9:00 am to 11:30 am, May 5, 2018 between 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, or if you do not have space left on your current I-20 or DS-2019 for another travel signature, then you should visit ISSS during our times for International Student Walk-in Services. No appointment is needed if you come to the International Office for a travel signature during our Walk-in Service hours, however, we do require that you come only during the listed times.
Note: If you are a sponsored student that cannot attend one of the travel signature drives, then you would need to schedule an appointment to meet with your sponsored student advisor to request a travel signature.
Travel Signature Information
The travel validation signature can be found on page 2 of the I-20 and on page 1 (bottom, right corner) of the DS-2019. The most recent signature must have been within the last 12 months (6 months if you are on Post Completion OPT or STEM OPT) from the date you reenter the U.S.
