Hi, I officially graduated from UT on 05/19/2018, therefore I no longer need an insurance plan in the future. I saw I was charged for summer insurance on my Spring Tuition Bill. I just submitted the insurance waive form, and I’m wondering if I can get a refund. If so, will the money go directly to my bank account? Thanks.

      Hello Yan,
If you have paid the cost of the UT Student Health Insurance Plan for the summer on your spring tuition bill, you can receive a refund after the summer graduation waiver is approved. The refund is issued electronically to your bank account (if you have direct deposit set up on your UT Direct account), or as a paper check to your local address on file. Refunds can take 2-4 weeks from the date of the waiver approval. You can check the Financial Summary page as well as the Where’s My Check page to keep track of your refund (links provided at https://financials.utexas.edu/sar/online-financial-services). Feel free to email me at insuranceadvisor@austin.utexas.edu if you have any additional questions.
