Did you know all international students & scholars are required to file a U.S tax return? If you are present in the U.S. for any part of 2018, then you will need to file a return even if you did not receive money from a scholarship/fellowship or job.
To help UT students and scholars meet this requirement, the International Office is hosting a tax information session. We will briefly cover the following topics:
- What is a U.S. tax return
- What is your tax filing obligation
- When and how to file a U.S. tax return
- Tax treaties
- Dependents and taxes
- and much more!
