International Tax Information Session

Did you know all international students and scholars are required to file a U.S. tax return? If you are present in the U.S. for any part of 2018, then you will need to file a return even if you did not receive money from a scholarship/fellowship or job.

To help UT students and scholars meet this requirement, the International Office is hosting a tax information session. We will briefly cover the following topics:

  • What is a U.S. tax return?
  • What is your tax filing obligation?
  • When and how to file a U.S. tax return
  • Tax treaties
  • Dependents and taxes
  • and much more!

We are here to help, so please join us for this session Wednesday, February 20th from 5-6 pm at Avaya Auditorium (POB 2.302). If you have any questions, please email intltax@austin.utexas.edu
