Calling all Longhorns!
If you are a returning student in Fall 2019 and want to help International Office staff at International Student Orientation this August, then you should think about applying to be an International Orientation Assistant (IOA).
For domestic students, it is a great way to get to know the global community here at UT. For international students, you might remember the IOAs helping you when you were attending your first year at UT. Don’t you want to return the favor?
IOAs assist students find their way to Orientation & Welcome Lunch, lead campus tours on Welcome Weekend, serve as student panelists at the Orientation Info Sessions, join in the fun during Bowling & Billiards night, and much more. Peruse the full list of International Student Orientation events on our website.
The IOA is a short-term, paid position open to domestic, international, graduate, and undergraduate students at UT. No matter what kind of student you are, it is a great way to make new students feel welcome and at home at UT, and in Austin.
