ISSS International Student Orientation is in full swing! We kicked off with a general assembly in UT’s historic Hogg Auditorium followed by a Welcome Lunch for new international students and their families in the Texas Union. A special guest, Hook’em, made a special appearance to greet some of his new classmates!

Student Activity Center (SAC) August 19, 1-5 p.m. Don’t miss these important presentations from the following Campus Partners: Office of Student Activities, University of Texas Police Department discussing Public Safety, University Co-Op discussing textbooks, University Career Services, University Writing Center, University Health Services, and “Voices Against Violence” discussing U.S. Dating Culture.

Texas Two-Step
Texas Union: Shirley Bird Perry Ballroom August 19, 6-7 p.m. & 7:30-8:30 p.m. Dance instructors will give two introductory lessons and have you twirling around the ballroom to the tunes of country and western music in no time.
Bowling & Billiards
Texas Union Underground August 21, 5-9 p.m. Come relax after your first few days of orientation! Texas Global has reserved bowling lanes and pool tables in the Union Underground for you to enjoy and get to know your classmates over a casual game or two. Let us know you are coming by RSVP-ing! We want to make sure we order enough pizza for all!
Exchange Student Welcome Lunch

Departs from the Texas Global Office at 2400 Nueces St. August 24, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.Admire the Alamo and roam the riverwalk on this one-day excursion to historic San Antonio! Purchase your ticket before August 23 here.
Future Excursions
Future excursions this semester include trips to Natural Bridge Caverns, Houston Museum District, Scream Hollow Halloween Park, and a San Antonio Spurs NBA Game.
