Survey Open Now Through December 18
Studying away from home can be an experience that’s as challenging as it is rewarding. At International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), we care about the experiences of our international students and want to hear from you. For the fourth year in a row, The University of Texas at Austin is participating in the International Student Barometer (ISB).
What is the ISB?
The ISB is a survey that tracks and compares the decision-making, expectations and perceptions of international students from application to graduation. The resulting data enables us to learn what you think about your experience at UT Austin, including (but not limited to):
- Your arrival and orientation experience
- The quality of your education
- Your experience with accommodations
- The connections you have made
- The communities you joined
How International Students Can Complete the ISB
On Wednesday, November 1, international students received a link to complete the ISB survey. Please complete the survey by Monday, December 18, 2023, to earn the opportunity to enter a prize drawing. If you did not receive the survey link, please email us at intercultural@austin.utexas.edu for assistance.
Students worldwide are being asked to complete the survey, and we urge you to add yours to that collective voice. The results of the survey will help ISSS identify ways to improve the student experience for you and your fellow international Longhorns.
What Students Have Said
Last year, more than 21 percent of UT Austin international students completed the survey. Here’s what some of them said about their experience:
“Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would recommend it to any number of future potential students.”
“The experience has been positive, and the curriculum teaches a breadth of things, which have real-world application.”
“The school arranges everything properly. I felt very comfortable upon arrival.”
“Great school to learn from! The number of resources that UT Austin has is incredible.”
