International Education Week: Connecting the Forty Acres to the World

During the week of November 17-21, 2025, The University of Texas at Austin will join universities around the country in celebrating International Education Week (IEW), a nationally recognized initiative highlighting the benefits of international education and exchange.

At UT Austin, Texas Global leads this campuswide celebration with support from departments and programs across the University. International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) proudly hosts a series of events throughout the week, offering opportunities for international and U.S. students, scholars, faculty, and staff to connect, learn, and celebrate our global community.

Through conversations, creativity, and collaboration, IEW showcases global experiences on the Forty Acres — celebrating our international Longhorns and inspiring everyone to think and act globally.

Why IEW Matters

IEW is more than a week of events; it’s a celebration of connection. It reminds us that every conversation, performance, or cultural exchange deepens our understanding of one another and the world we share.

For international students and scholars, it’s a time to share your stories, talents, and traditions with the campus community. For U.S. students, it’s an opportunity to experience global perspectives without leaving Austin. Together, we make the Forty Acres a truly international home.

Join the Celebration

We hope you’ll be part of International Education Week this year! Explore the full schedule of IEW events, attend an ISSS-hosted activity, or simply start a conversation that connects you with someone new.

IEW is a celebration of the global spirit that defines UT Austin — because what starts here changes the world.
