The Dell School of Medicine at UT Austin is seeking native or fluent bi-lingual speakers of Eastern European, African, Middle Eastern, or Far Eastern languages to role-play patient encounters with medical students. We are currently planning an activity for February 13–15 from 12:45 to 6:30 each day and seeking individuals to play the roles of patients and interpreters. During the role-play, the person playing the patient will need to speak only their native language while the person playing the interpreter will be speaking both English and the native language.
Dell Medical School will provide training to provide background information for the activity. This is a paid activity that is considered on-campus employment. On-campus employment for F-1 and J-1 students is limited to 20 hours/week.
Yousef Dashti says
Hi, I am fluent in Arabic. However I won’t be able to attend for all the hours those days since I have classes, so I can only attend for a few hours each day, if that’s okay.
